RCX-10
RCX-10 The Hamilton RCX-10 material is a strongly basic anion exchanger. It was specially developed for the separation of carbohydrates, both in the isocratic and in the gradient. In isocratic mode, mono- and disaccharides and in gradient mode oligosaccharides can be separated up to a size of DP8. The stationary phase is stable over a wide pH range (from 0 to 14). The mobile phase required for the sugar separations is caustic soda. Thus, the separation conditions for the use of a pulsed amperometric detector, for very sensitive and selective detection of sugars, are optimal. Of course, in higher concentrations carbohydrates can also be determined using conductivity or RI detectors. The filler material is available in columns with three different inside diameters from 2.1 mm to 4.6 mm, both in stainless steel and in PEEK. Guard columns are also available in stainless steel and PEEK.
