PRP-X110 and PRP-X110S
PRP-X110 and PRP-X110S The Hamilton PRP-X110 material is an anion exchanger based on polystyrene / divinylbenzene. It is used both for the separation of inorganic and organic anions, which are in the concentration range of 20 ppb to 20 ppm. Typical applications are determination of fluoride from drinking water (EPA method 300) or the determination of fluoride from immersion baths. Unlike many other polymer-based columns, Hamilton PRP-X110 columns can operate from 0-100% organic content in the eluent. As a result, on the one hand, even very hydrophobic anions can be eluted from the separation column and, on the other hand, the column can be very easily cleaned of hydrophobic impurities. The Hamilton PRP-X110 columns are stable over the complete pH range (0 - 14). While the Hamilton PRP-X110 was developed for classical ion chromatography of anions without suppression, the Hamilton X110S is suitable for mobile phases used for suppression unit anion separations. The filling materials are available in columns with four different inner diameters from 1 mm to 4.6 mm, both in stainless steel and in PEEK. Guard columns are available for analytical, semi-preparative and preparative use.
